Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring’s wife, Amrita Warring, on Monday stirred a political row after she likened the Congress party’s symbol to that of the first Sikh Guru Guru Nanak’s ‘panja’ (hand). The remarks by Amrita Warring during an election event invited sharp criticism from the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab, the BJP and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).
