The BJP – which enjoyed brute majority for 10 years has secured 240 seats, falling short of the majority mark of 272. The below-than-expected show in polls has forced the party to rely on its NDA partners to form the NDA-3 government. Two among them Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu – are also being wooed by the Opposition with offers of a Deputy Prime Minister post and special status for Andhra Pradesh.
