Coaches of Ahmedabad – Mumbai Double Decker Express train detach near Surat
In the latest update, restoration work has been completed, and traffic on the UP main line resumed at 11:22 hrs.
The incident occurred around 9 am, when two coaches of Train No. 12932, the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Double Decker Express, suddenly separated near Gothan Railway Station in Surat’s Sayan area. However, there were no reports of casualties, and the train remained on the tracks. Passengers disembarked as the train came to a halt, and the railway’s technical team arrived to investigate the cause of the detachment. It is learnt that the coaches separated due to a broken coupler.
