Protest by students at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law Patiala
A massive protest has erupted at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) in Patiala, on Sunday evening, against the Vice Chancellor of the University. Hundreds of the students are staging a sit-in outside the residence of VC in the campus.
Students are learnt to have been protesting for allegedly violating the privacy of the girl students at their hostel.
The students alleged that VC Jai Shankar allegedly had entered the students’ rooms at Girls Hostel on Sunday afternoon without any prior notice or consent.
Girl students told HT that he questioned their (girls) dressing sense thereby violated their privacy.
