International Girl Child Day celebrated in DBU

Mandi Gobindgarh, 11 October: Agrim Club of Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences in association with EK BHARAT SHRESHTHA CELL, Desh Bhagat University organized an expert talk on International Girl Child Day. The event was conducted through online mode. The resource person for the day was Saakshi Chauhan, Research Associate, Forest research institute, Dehradun,Uttarakhand.

 

Dr Avinash Bhatia (Assistant professor), Desh Bhagat University,welcomes the resource person and all participants. Speakers emphasized that strong friendships among women can lead to better mental health, increased happiness, and a sense of belonging. She also discussed how friendships can empower women to pursue their goals and ambitions and Strategies for overcoming these hurdles and fostering healthy relationships were provided.

There were around 20 participants who joined the programme. The highlighted motive of this event was to raise the significance of strong female bonds in promoting mental well-being and resilience and recognize and celebrate the positive influence that girl friends have in each other’s lives. At last Miss Shivangi gave a vote of thanks and she thanked Prof (Dr) H.K Shidhu, Dean Agriculture and Life Sciences who provided this platform.
