Dusshera Celebrated by Desh Bhagat Global School

Mandi Gobindgarh, 12 October: Indian Festivals and stories related to them are the best way to make the children respect, understand, and appreciate our rich mythological heritage. Students of Desh Bhagat Global School (DBGS)celebrate each festival with great enthusiasm. Dussehra was celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal by the Dbgsians. A special assembly was conducted with a story enactment on Dussehra.

According to our culture “Ravana Dahan” is a very important part of this celebration . Desh Bhagat DBSIANS enacted a play where Ravana’s end was portrayed as death of pride and evil. The students through a dance performance welcomed Rama as a symbol of positivity. Girls of class 6th showcased mesmerizing garba dance performance. Pre-Primary teachers displayed a beautiful poem through an act. The whole assembly was woven around mythological influence of Ramayana. A beautiful poem and a thought seasoned it with religious fervor. Effigy of Ravana was burnt in school campus. The school Principal Ms. Indu Sharma in her address apprised the students on the value of adopting virtuous character of Rama to conquer all the evils. She wished all a Happy Dussehra. Desh Bhagat Global School Chairman, Dr. Zora Singh and General Secretary Dr. Tajinder Kaur imparted their good wishes and blessings to all DBSIANS on this auspicious occasion
