Senior NCP leader Baba Siddique shot dead in Mumbai
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddiqui was shot dead in Bandra on Saturday evening. Lilavati hospital has confirmed to CNBC-TV18 that Baba Siddqui has passed away.
Three rounds were fired and Siddqui was shot in his chest, as per sources.
Nirmal Nagar police have detained two suspects. Person accompanying Siddique also sustained injuries, with a real estate issue being reportedly attributed to be a reason behind the shooutout. The investigating agencies are yet to confirm the actual reason behind the episode though.
