DBU organised Seven Days Online Faculty Development Programme

Mandi Gobindgarh, 16 October: The Seven Days Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) has been organized by AIU-DBU-AADC.There were 49 participants from Desh Bhagat University and other institution. The FDP addresses the various aspects of research parameters including writing of articles, funding bodies and collaborations .

 

Opening remarks for the FDP were given by Prof (Dr.) H.K. Sidhu, AIU-DBU-AADC Coordinator, who welcome all the participation and stressed upon the importance of research in modern era. She elaborated that research creates a foundation upon which all academic quality is based. Dr Sachit Vardhan, AIU-DBU-AADC Nodal officer, DBU focused on the objectives of AADC as well as AIU support for such initiatives .

Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor Desh Bhagat University said that such faculty development programme not only improves the quality but also add more growth of faculty as well as institution as a whole. Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) Abhijit H Joshi added that our commitment to advancing knowledge is paramount, and this initiative is a vital step in enhancing our research capabilities. Through collaboration, innovative thinking, and a shared passion for inquiry, we can elevate our institution’s research profile. I encourage you to engage actively, share your insights, and explore new avenues of scholarship.

 

Resource person of the first day was Dr Sandeep Singhai Head of Business Development and Principal Scientist at CSIR-AMPRI, Bhopal. He guided on the topic Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) – From A Researchers Perspectives.

 

During the Faculty Development Programme (FDP) Dr Naveen Kumar, Associate Professor at Chitkara University, Dr Avinash Bhatia, Prof (Dr) Sudhir Kumar, Professor and Head, Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Jaypee University, Waknaghat, Solan, Dr Ramna Kumar ( Sehgal) from Guru Nanak Engineering College, Ludhiana, Prof (Dr) P.K Pati (G N D U) shared their valuable views. The last day of the FDP concluded with valedictory Session , Prof. (Dr.) H.K. Sidhu gave the vote of thanks.
