DBU Celebrates Anesthesia Day with Educational Events and Community Engagement

Mandi Gobindgarh, 19 October: The department of Paramedical Sciences of Desh Bhagat University proudly celebrated Anesthesia Day highlighting the vital role anesthesiology plays in modern medicine. The event featured a series of educational workshops, demonstrations, and guest lectures designed to engage students, faculty, and the community in the importance of anesthesia in surgical procedures and patient care.

 

The resource person for the day was Mr. Deepanshu Sharma (Faculty of Allied Health Sciences). He focused on Providing & Creating the Knowledge about various Hospital Facilities Such as OPD’s, IPD’s, ICU’s, Medications etc. All undergraduate students of paramedical sciences participated in the event. Thereafter Dr. Atul Khajuria started the event by welcoming the chief guest Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Dr Tajinder Kaur Pro-Chancellor and Dr Virinder Singh Advisor to Chancellor Guest of honors of Desh Bhagat University and addressing him with an enormous phrase of words.

 

“We are thrilled to raise awareness about the significant contributions of anesthesiologists,” said Dr Zora Singh, Chancellor. “This event fosters learning and encourages students to explore careers in this essential field.”

 

The inaugural session started by Dr. Khajuria with a welcome speech and delivered key points regarded the Anesthesia day & Hospital Environment. “Anesthesia is not just about managing pain; it’s about ensuring a safe surgical experience for patients,” said Dr. Khajuria.

 

Interactive workshops allowed participants to learn about various anesthesia methods, including general and regional anesthesia, while hands-on demonstrations showcased the latest technology in monitoring and patient care. Students from the nursing and medical programs participated actively, gaining invaluable insights into the field.

 

The celebration also included a panel discussion featuring alumni who shared their experiences and career paths in anesthesiology, inspiring the next generation of medical professionals. BOTAT students actively participated in Poster Presentation, Skit for CPR and making Video addressing roles of healthcare personnel in emergency situations.
