Three idols recovered near Sambhal temple after first ‘reopening’ since 1978
A prayer ceremony (aarti) was held at the newly opened Lord Shiva and Hanuman temple in the district on Monday. The shrine was discovered by the administration on Saturday during an inspection related to the ongoing issue of electricity theft in the area.
Sambhal Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Vandana Mishra announced plans to restore the original structure of a temple that reopened on Saturday after 46 years. The temple premises have been cleaned, electricity arrangements made, and CCTV cameras installed for security.
