A fresh Western Disturbance has started affecting #Himalayas today.
Cloudy weather is observed over hills while wind pattern has started to change over the plains

1. Rain and Snow:
• Light to moderate #snowfall is expected over upper to mid ranges of #Kashmir #Himachal #Uttarakhand tonight into Tuesday morning with peak on Monday, day temperatures to fall significant. Light rains will occur in lower ranges

• Cloudy weather along with one or two spells of fairly widespread drizzle/light rains are expected in #Punjab #Haryana #Delhi NCR, North & East #Rajasthan and west #UttarPradesh during morning till night hours of Monday 23rd December.
Dry weather conditions will return 24th December onwards

2. Temperature update:
• A significant fall in day temperatures will be observed in rain affect states tomorrow, Season’s first #Coldday conditions can be expected in various stations of #Punjab #Haryana and over few parts of #Delhi #Rajasthan and #UP tomorrow.
• Night temperatures are likely to fall again by 2-3°c during 24th – 26th December.

3. Fog Update:
• Seasonal dense #fog has remained absent so far, with fresh moisture engulfing in the atmosphere, conditions will become favourable for the formation of Dense #Fog over many parts of #Haryana #Punjab #Delhi #UttarPradesh and north #Rajasthan during 24th – 27th December.
• During dense fog Visibility is reported in the range of 0-100m mainly in late night to early morning hours. Be cautious and keep yourself updated if you’re planning to travel in these times.

4. Long term view:
• Another WD is expected around 27/28th December, probability of season’s first #Coldblast is there during 30th December into first week of January 2025!
