Door-to-Door Legal Aid Awareness Camp Organises by Legal Aid Cell School of Law DBU

Mandi Gobindgarh, 29 January : Legal Aid Cell, University School of Law Desh Bhagat University in collaboration with District Legal Service Authority Fatehgarh Sahib and NSS has organized Door-to-Door Legal Aid Awareness Camp at Sounti Village today. The team of Dr. Divya S. Khurana, Dr. Anu Mutneja, Dr. Prabhjot Kaur, Dr. Arti, Ms. Manpreet Kaur, Ms. Manpreet Hayer and Ms. Swati Sharma were delivered guidance and purpose of the Door-to-Door Legal Aid Awareness Camp at Saunti Village. The Legal Aid Awareness Camp was provided door-to-door information on legal rights and free legal services available to the public basically villagers. The initiative aimed to reach marginalized communities and create awareness about accessing justice through legal aid services. In the camp 37 students were participated from BALLB (H) 2nd Sem., 8th Sem. 10th Sem., 4th Sem. and 6th Sem., LLB 4th Sem and 2nd Sem. The Students were conducted to highlight schemes like free legal aid for women, children and the economically disadvantaged. The Objectives of the Door-to-Door Legal Aid Awareness Camp was to educate and aware people about their legal rights. This camp was organized to inform about the availability of free legal aid services provided by government and non-government organizations and to assist individuals in identifying legal solutions to their problems through the ADR Center established by Desh Bhagat University.

The Door-to-Door Legal Aid Awareness Camp Use digital tools for awareness campaigns to supplement door-to-door efforts. The Door-to-Door Legal Aid Awareness Camp was a successful initiative that highlighted the importance of making legal services accessible to all. University School of Law Continuous efforts are required to build on the foundation laid by this camp and to ensure that justice is not a privilege but a right for everyone.
