World Cancer Day Observed at Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College and Hospital,

Mandi Gobindgarh, 6 February: Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Mandi Gobindgarh, observed World Cancer Day by organizing an awareness lecture under the guidance of Dr. Snehamayee Mishra, Principal, and Dr. Kulbhushan, Director.

The event aimed to spread awareness about cancer prevention, early detection, and holistic approaches to treatment.

The keynote speaker, Prof. (Dr.) Satya Deo Pandey, Director of Clinical Research-Ayurveda at Desh Bhagat University, provided a comprehensive overview of cancer, emphasizing disease awareness and preventive measures. His address highlighted the significance of integrating Ayurvedic principles into cancer care and management, reinforcing the need for a holistic approach to health.

The event was attended by distinguished faculty members, including Prof. (Dr.) Amitabh Singh, Professor, Department of Kayachikitsa; Dr. Gagan Deep Sharma, Associate Professor, Department of Samskrita Samhita evam Siddhanta; Dr. Darshana, Associate Professor, Department of Kayachikitsa; Dr. Nishant Paika, Assistant Professor, Department of Kriya Sharir; and Mr. Rajendra Prasad, Assistant Professor, Department of Samskrita Samhita evam Siddhanta. Students from the BAMS and Postgraduate MD courses also actively participated in the event.

The session concluded with an interactive discussion, where students and faculty members engaged with experts to deepen their understanding of cancer prevention through Ayurveda. The event reinforced the importance of raising awareness and promoting preventive healthcare strategies to combat cancer effectively.
