Avalanche in Uttarakhand, stops 200 mts short of ITBP camp in Spiti valley
An avalanche struck the Gue region in the Kaza subdivision of Lahaul and Spiti district on Saturday, causing significant concern, but fortunately resulting in no casualties. The incident occurred while Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel were engaged in snow-clearing operation. The avalanche descended with great force but stopped just 200 feet from the ITBP camp, preventing any damage to the camp or injuries to the personnel.
