Desh Bhagat University Organizes Expert Talk on Bhartiya Vigyanik

Mandi Gobindgarh, 9 March: Desh Bhagat University (DBU) successfully organized an expert talk on Bhartiya Vigyanik, bringing together distinguished experts from the field of science and research. The event aimed to highlight India’s scientific heritage and advancements, fostering a deeper understanding of indigenous knowledge systems and modern scientific developments.

The session was graced by eminent speakers, including Prof. Dr. S. K. Mehta, Professor of Chemistry at Panjab University, Chandigarh, Dr. Som Dev Bhardwaj, Organizing Secretary, North India of Vijnana Bharati and Dr. Adarsh Pal Vij, Chairman of the Punjab Pollution Control Board.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, and Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University. In their address, they emphasized the importance of integrating traditional Indian scientific knowledge with contemporary research to drive innovation and sustainability.

During the session, the experts shared valuable insights on India’s rich scientific legacy, environmental concerns, and advancements in chemistry and sustainable development. Prof. Dr. S. K. Mehta elaborated on the significance of chemistry in everyday life and research, while Dr. Som Dev Bhardwaj highlighted the role of Vijnana Bharati in promoting Indian scientific contributions. Dr. Adarsh Pal Vij focused on environmental challenges and the need for sustainable solutions through scientific innovations.

Advisor to the Chancellor, Dr. Virinder Singh, was also present on the occasion.
