PDA demolishes illegal colonies in Patiala

In a decisive move to curb illegal encroachments and unauthorized developments, the administration carried out demolition drives in three unauthorized colonies situated in Jalalpur, Chura, and Hassanpur Prohta The action was taken under the firm supervision of Chief Administrator Mrs. Manisha Rana IAS and Additional Chief Administrator Ms. Jashanpreet Kaur Gill (PCS).

The demolition exercise was part of the ongoing efforts to ensure planned urban development and to uphold the rule of law. These unauthorized colonies were found to be in violation of established building norms and lacked necessary approvals.

Authorities have reiterated their commitment to take strict action against illegal constructions and have urged citizens and developers to adhere strictly to legal procedures and obtain all requisite permissions before undertaking any development activities.

The administration also appeals to the general public to remain vigilant while purchasing plots. It is strongly advised that buyers verify the legal status of any land or property from the concerned authorities or relevant departments before making a purchase. This step is crucial to avoid future legal and financial complications.

The administration remains committed to maintaining transparency and accountability in all urban planning initiatives and ensuring sustainable growth in the region.
