DBU Hosts Esteemed Delegation of Vice Chancellors and Directors Under Peer Learning Initiative by Punjab Governor

 

Mandi Gobindgarh, 9 June: Desh Bhagat University, a NAAC A+ accredited institution, proudly welcomed a distinguished delegation of Vice Chancellors and Directors from top universities across Punjab. The visit was part of a visionary peer learning initiative led by Hon’ble Governor Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria, aimed at fostering collaboration and excellence in higher education across the state.

The delegation comprised renowned academic leaders, including Prof. (Dr.) Rajinder Singh Kaler, Dean, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala, Dr. Bhupinder Singh Brar, Vice Chancellor, RIMT University, Mandi Gobindgarh, Prof. (Dr.) Mani Kant Paswan, Director, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal, Dr. Puneet Sharma, Dean Academics, Amity University, Mohali.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor of DBU. The visit began with an institutional presentation highlighting DBU’s academic achievements and best practices, delivered by Dr. Harvinder Kaur Sidhu, Director, IQAC.

Desh Bhagat University (DBU) received high appreciation from visiting academic delegates for its well-rounded contributions to education, innovation, and community engagement.

The university’s 50-Hour Social Work program and Earn While You Learn initiative were lauded for empowering students through hands-on learning and civic involvement. DBU’s strong academic foundation, supported by a highly qualified faculty with a significant number of PhD holders, was also commended.

Delegates praised DBU’s advanced infrastructure, international collaborations, patented research efforts, and seamless integration of Coursera certifications. The university’s focus on student diversity, career-oriented upskilling, and specialized postgraduate programs stood out as key strengths.

A live demonstration of Panchkarma at the Ayurveda Hospital offered an enriching glimpse into traditional Indian medicine.

In his address, Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor of DBU, extended heartfelt thanks to the Hon’ble Governor for initiating this impactful peer learning platform. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to blending academic innovation with societal advancement.
