Patiala:New Registry System Launched to Save Time and Money: Ajitpal Singh Kohli

Taking a major citizen-centric step, the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has launched the ‘Easy Registry’system in Patiala, aimed at streamlining and simplifying the property registration process.

`Speaking at the launch event, Patiala MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli stated that the new system will ensure the completion of registry processes within 48 hours, making the procedure faster, more transparent, and hassle-free. Citizens will now receive all relevant updates via WhatsApp, eliminating the need for frequent office visits and reducing dependence on middlemen or agents.

MLA Kohli highlighted that under the new system, residents can now choose any sub-registrar office within the district to register their property, based on their convenience. He further informed that by dialing helpline number 1076, citizens can request service assistants to visit their homes to help prepare the necessary documents.

The Easy Registry system offers a range of citizen-friendly services. These include online document submission, digital pre-verification of documents, and the ability for users to schedule their own appointments at any sub-registrar office as per their convenience. Additionally, citizens now have the option to prepare their own sale deed drafts, and service assistants can assist in preparing registry documents from the comfort of one’s home. All these features are designed to ensure a smooth, paperless, and efficient registration experience.

MLA Kohli emphasized that the system is designed to save time, money, and energy, particularly benefiting working professionals and individuals with busy schedules. With digital pre-verification completed within 48 hours and time-bound registration slots, the process ensures minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.

During his visit to the sub-registrar office, Mr. Kohli also interacted with citizens present there and took feedback on the office operations and the new initiative. Residents welcomed the move and lauded the Punjab Government’s effort. saying the system eliminates unnecessary delays and improves overall convenience.
