AIU-DBU-AADC Organizes Online Faculty Development Programme on Technological Tools

Mandi Gobindgarh, 9 October: An Online Faculty Development Programme was successfully organized by AIU-DBU-AADC, focusing on the effective use of technological tools and holistic approaches to teaching and learning. The five-day programme, witnessed active participation from 78 faculty members of Desh Bhagat University and other institutions.

The programme commenced with the opening remarks from Prof. (Dr.) H.K. Sidhu, AIU-DBU-AADC Coordinator, who emphasized the importance of experiential learning and holistic development in modern education.

Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, Dr. Zora Singh highlighted that such initiatives not only enhance faculty competence but also contribute to institutional growth.

Day 1 featured insights from Dr. Sandeep Singhai, Senior Scientist, AMPRI Bhopal, who discussed the role of education in nurturing emotional, ethical, and intellectual growth.

Day 2 saw Prof. (Dr.) Praveen Bansal, Former Professor, Baba Farid University, emphasizing the integration of Ayurvedic science and technology.

On Day 3, Prof. (Dr.) Naveen Kumar from Chitkara University conducted a hands-on session on ethical research practices and AI tools for research enhancement.

Day 4 featured Dr. Raman Kumar Sehgal, GNE Ludhiana, who discussed the role of technology in promoting global learning and holistic student development.

On the concluding Day, Dr. Harpreet Singh Mahal from GGNIMT, Ludhiana, spoke on ensuring quality of life for both students and faculty, emphasizing problem-solving and resilience.

The programme concluded with a valedictory session where Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Harsh Sadawarti lauded the efforts of AIU-DBU-AADC for organizing a meaningful FDP. Dr. H.K. Sidhu presented the vote of thanks.
