DBU Law School Hosts Legal Aid Awareness Camp on Health Law and Well-being
Mandi Gobindgarh, November 6: The University School of Law at Desh Bhagat University held a Legal Aid Awareness Camp on Health Law and Well-being in Village Issru in District Ludhiana.
Eighty-five students took part in the camp. They were split into groups to educate villagers about Health Laws, Health Insurance Schemes, Government Policies related to Well-being, and Legal Rights related to Health and Hygiene.
The Sarpanch of Village Issru, Mr. Jitenderjot Singh, and Panch Ms. Sarbjeet Kaur praised the law students for their efforts in raising legal awareness at the community level.
Dr. Anu Mutneja, Dr. Prabhjot Kaur Ghuman, Dr. Arti, and Ms. Manpreet Kaur (Assistant Professor at the University School of Law) successfully coordinated the camp. They also spoke to the participants and villagers, highlighting the importance of knowing the law in improving public health and overall well-being.
Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur of Desh Bhagat University valued the initiative for promoting social responsibility and community involvement among students through these outreach programs.
The Legal Aid Awareness Camp provided a meaningful opportunity for students to connect legal education with community service. It expanded their understanding of how law is essential in ensuring the right to health and well-being fr everyone.
