Grand Kirtan Darbar Held in Patiala to Commemorate the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji and the Great Martyrs

A grand Kirtan Darbar was held at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Patiala, dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the Ninth Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, and the great martyrs—Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Diala Ji, and Bhai Sati Das Ji. A large number of devotees attended the event and expressed deep reverence and devotion towards the Gurus. The congregation included distinguished personalities, saints, spiritual leaders, and representatives from various organizations.

 

Speaking to the media, former Member of Parliament and Union Minister, Maharani Preneet Kaur, said that this was a truly historic day, and all were fortunate to have the opportunity to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji.

 

She further shared that Hazuri Raagi Bhai Bhupinder Singh Ji and Bhai Satwant Singh Ji, especially invited from Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar, graced the event with their divine Gurbani Kirtan and blessed the entire congregation.

 

BJP Punjab Mahila Morcha President, Jai Inder Kaur, while addressing the gathering, said that the Ninth Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, was a true protector of human rights, and by sacrificing his life, he safeguarded the honour of the nation. She stated that Guru Sahib’s teachings and supreme sacrifice continue to inspire humanity with the message of unity, peace, and brotherhood.

 

BJP State Working President, Shri Ashwani Sharma, was also present on the occasion. He said that it was a matter of great honour to observe this sacred martyrdom anniversary. He added that the Punjab unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party had also organized a state-level commemorative event at the holy city of Sri Anandpur Sahib. He emphasized that it is because of the sacrifice of the Ninth Guru that people today enjoy the blessings of freedom.

 

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Maharani Preneet Kaur extended heartfelt thanks to all the devotees, organizations, saints, spiritual leaders, and dignitaries who graced the event with their presence.

 

The ceremony was attended by National Minority Commission Chairman Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Jagjit Singh Dardi, Vijay Kumar Kuka, Jaspal Singh Gangroli, Harmesh Goyal, Narinder Sehgal, Dalbir Randhawa, Satbir Khatra, Tony Bindra, Lucky, Hardeep Balli, K.K. Malhotra, Surinder Walia, Roop Walia, and Sunny Lamba, among others.
