Desh Bhagat University Celebrates National Pharmacy Week with a Series of Engaging Activities

Mandi Gobindgarh, 4 December: The Faculty of Pharmacy at Desh Bhagat University, in collaboration with IIC and IQAC, celebrated National Pharmacy Week with an array of interactive and skill-enhancing events. The event aimed to promote awareness of the pharmacist’s role in healthcare while encouraging student participation and skill development.

The week began with a Slogan Writing Competition, where students showcased their creativity, and Saransh Kumar (B.Pharm, 3rd Sem) emerged as the winner.

A Pharma Quiz Competition tested students’ knowledge, with the team of Harshdeep Singh, Yashasvi, and Ashish Kumar (B.Pharm, 3rd Sem) securing first place. Color and creativity marked the Rangoli Competition, featuring beautifully designed pharmacy-themed artwork. Kiranpreet Kaur and team (5th Semester) won first prize, followed by Nandini and team (1st Semester) in second place, and Kritika Goswami and team (3rd Semester) in third.

In the Oral Presentation Competition, students demonstrated scientific insight and communication skills. Abrar Ashraf (Pharm D, 1st Year) claimed first place, Palak (Pharm D, 2nd Year) secured second, and Himanshu Pandey (B.Pharm, 5th Sem) took third.

The celebration concluded with a Vaccination Awareness Camp, where students educated the community on immunization and preventive healthcare.

Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur of Desh Bhagat University congratulated the Faculty of Pharmacy for successfully organizing the National Pharmacy Week activities. They appreciated the students’ enthusiasm and commended the collective efforts of the faculty for promoting awareness on such a noble cause.
