District and Sessions Judge, Patiala visited Open Air Jail, Nabha

Patiala, 24 December :

Sh. Avtar Singh, Learned District and Sessions Judge, Patiala accompanied by Ms. Amandeep Kamboj, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Patiala visited the Open Air Jail, Nabha. During this visit, Sh. Avtar Singh, District and Sessions Judge, personally visited each and every barrack of the jail. In an effort to address the concerns of the inmates, the Hon’ble Judge engaged in meaningful conversations with them, especially

regarding Nasha Mukt Punjab campaign. They were apprised of their legal rights as well. Their problems and grievances were heard and addressed. Special emphasis was placed on resolving the grievances and problems faced by the inmates and ensuring adequate health and medical facilities for the inmates. Jail Authorities and staff were directed to take necessary steps in this regard as well.

On this occasion, Ms. Amandeep Kamboj, Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Patiala also highlighted the availability of free legal aid for those in need. Additionally, she emphasized the accessibility of the NALSA helpline at 15100 for assistance.
