Mandi Gobindgarh, January 1: In a moment of immense pride for Indian higher education, Hon’ble Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, has been formally informed by the World Book of Records, London that his Certificate of Excellence will be ceremoniously presented during the 10th Award Ceremony at the House of Lords, UK Parliament, in May 2026.

The honour is being conferred in recognition of Dr. Zora Singh’s outstanding achievements, visionary leadership, and lifelong contribution to education, institution-building, and nation-building. The presentation at the House of Lords represents global acknowledgment of his enduring impact on academia and society.

Expressing his gratitude, Hon’ble Dr. Zora Singh stated “I humbly accept this recognition as a collective honour for all educators, students, and institutions who believe that education is the most powerful instrument for nation-building and social transformation. This recognition belongs not to an individual alone, but to the larger mission of empowering society through value-based, inclusive, and globally relevant education.”

Under his inspirational leadership, Desh Bhagat University has evolved into a nationally respected and globally connected institution, committed to academic excellence, innovation, ethics, and social responsibility.

The Desh Bhagat University fraternity comprising management, faculty, staff, students, and alumni has expressed profound pride in this international recognition, describing it as a moment of honour for the University, the state of Punjab, and the country at large.
