Punjab’s Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains paid a surprise visit to the School of Eminence in Bhadson, Patiala district, on Tuesday morning, underscoring the Bhagwant Mann Government’s unwavering commitment to strengthening public education under the ongoing ‘Punjab Sikhya Kranti’. During the visit, the Education Minister reviewed ongoing infrastructure development works and interacted directly with students to assess the quality of education and facilities being provided.

While taking a comprehensive tour of the school premises, Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains meticulously reviewed the progress of infrastructure upgrades and held interactions with students to take first-hand feedback on academic standards and amenities available in the school.

He also reviewed the construction of a ₹90-lakh state-of-the-art indoor sports complex, featuring two Kabaddi mats and one wrestling mat, with a seating capacity of 2,000, and stressed that the Punjab Government’s education policy places equal emphasis on intellectual growth and physical development.

“Education is the paramount priority of the Bhagwant Mann Government. Our ‘Schools of Eminence’ are not just buildings; they are incubators for future leaders and professionals,” said Minister Harjot Singh Bains, adding, “The trend of students migrating from private institutions to government schools is a resounding endorsement of our policies and the quality education being delivered.”

The Education Minister further stated, “There is and will be no dearth of funds for education. Investing in our students is investing directly in the future of Punjab and the nation.”

The School Principal, Preetinder Ghai, apprised the Education Minister that the school has witnessed an 11 percent rise in enrolment this academic year, with over 200 students shifting from private schools, reflecting growing parental confidence in the government education system. He further informed that more than 400 students are availing transport facilities through six school buses, which stands as a clear indicator of the institution’s expanding reputation as a centre of excellence.
