4 IAS Officer’s Transferred in Punjab

Punjab Government Transfers and Appoints IAS Officers

Chandigarh, May 13, 2026 — The Punjab Government’s Department of Personnel has issued orders for the transfer and posting of several IAS officers on administrative grounds with immediate effect.

According to the official orders:

Shri Ramvir, IAS (2009), who was serving as Administrative Secretary, Information & Public Relations and Additional Commissioner, Jalandhar Division, has been appointed as Commissioner, Jalandhar Division, Jalandhar, along with the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Water Supply & Sanitation Department.

Shri Ghanshyam Thori, IAS (2010), presently serving as Secretary, Health & Family Welfare and Mission Director, National Health Mission, Punjab, has been given the additional charge of Secretary, Medical Education & Research Department.

Shri Puneet Goyal, IAS (2010), who was serving as Special Secretary, Medical Education & Research, has been appointed as Special Secretary, Information & Public Relations and Director, Information & Public Relations Department.

Smt. Akshita Gupta, IAS (2021), Director, Information & Public Relations, has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Rupnagar.

The government has directed all concerned officers to assume charge of their new postings immediately. It was also stated that Shri Puneet Goyal will continue to look after the work of Administrative Secretary, Information & Public Relations Department, until a regular appointment is made.
