Patiala News:As per the directions of the High Court, the road work at Ablowal should be completed soon and dairy farmers should be shifted: Dr. Himanshu Agarwal
Patiala Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Agarwal instructed the Municipal Corporation officials to complete the ongoing road work at Ablowal as per the directions of the Hon’ble High Court at the earliest so that the process of shifting the dairy farms operating in the city to Ablowal can be taken forward as soon as possible.
The Deputy Commissioner said that it is necessary to develop basic facilities for the relocation of dairy farmers at Ablowal. In view of this, the road work should be completed on priority basis, so that there is no obstacle in the relocation of dairy farmers there. He said that the concerned officials should work in coordination with each other and continuously monitor the construction work and ensure the quality of the work as well as its timely completion.
Dr. Himanshu Agarwal said that shifting of dairy farms in the city to the designated location will help in reducing the problems related to cleanliness, traffic and environment in different areas of the city. He said that the administration is continuously making efforts to provide better civic amenities to the city residents and shifting of dairy farmers at Ablowal is also an important step in this direction. He asked the Municipal Corporation officials to fully follow the instructions issued by the Honorable Court and complete the necessary works at Ablowal without any delay. He said that after the completion of the road work, the process of shifting of dairy farmers to Ablowal should also be expedited, so that this matter can be resolved soon.
It is noteworthy that the High Court has directed the Municipal Corporation to ask the dairy owners to shift the dairy after the completion of the road work. The Municipal Corporation said that this work is expected to be completed in the coming few weeks.
On this occasion, Additional Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Simarpreet Kaur was also present. She informed the Deputy Commissioner about the ongoing works at Ablowal and also informed him about the steps being taken to complete the related works on time.
