Opposition parties are deliberately spreading misleading propaganda.

Cabinet Minister inspects ongoing construction of various roads

Chief Minister Punjab S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led state government is constructing and renovating 45 thousand kilometers of roads in the state. In these, the work of upgradation of link roads has also been started so that the state can be taken on the path of further progress. These things were revealed by Public Works Minister Mr. Harbhajan Singh ETO today after inspecting the construction of various roads completed and ongoing in district Bathinda. On this occasion, MLA Maur Mr. Sukhvir Singh Maisarkhana , Mr. Jatinder Singh Bhalla , Chairman Improvement Trust and Chairman Punjab Medium Industries Development Board Mr. Neil Garg were also specially present. During a press conference held yesterday regarding a road in Bathinda that was going viral on social media, the Minister had challenged the local Member of Parliament, Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Mr. Bikram Majithia, to be present on the spot during the checking. Today, the Minister inspected the roads on the spot, but no one from him was present.

Cabinet Minister Shri Harbhajan Singh ETO, after inspecting the Maisarkhana-Titrasar Sahib road, expressed satisfaction over the road work and said that every penny of the people’s tax is being spent properly and whatever road work is being done is being done with complete strength and transparency.

The new road constructed from village Kotbhara to village Ramgarh Bhundar was checked by Cabinet Minister Mr. Harbhajan Singh ETO and on the spot a sample of the road was taken by the Quality Control Center Patiala. He said that this road has been constructed as per the standards. If any deficiency is found in the road work then strict action will be taken against the concerned contractor.

On this occasion, he termed the viral video of the same road being broken by hand as fake and said that the opponents have no issue left , due to which such misleading propaganda is being spread by them against the state government. The Cabinet Minister said that now people have become very wise and understanding, due to which they do not fall for the trap of wrong and misleading propaganda.

On this occasion, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Maur Mr. Gurjinder Singh , Chief Engineer Anil Gupta , Superintending Engineer Anil Sharma , Executive Engineer Onkar Singh and other officials of the Public Works Department were present.
