Patiala News:Voter Registration Camp at State College of Education Patiala

At the local Government College of Education, a voter registration camp was organized at the college under the leadership of Principal Prof. (Dr) Vanita Rani. In this program, District Nodal Officer SVEEP Principal Dr. Savinder Singh Rekhi was the chief guest and Mr. Mohit Kaushal Assistant District Nodal Officer SVEEP was the special guest. Principal Prof. Dr. Vanita Rani, while welcoming the chief guest and the special guest, informed all the students about the importance and right of voting and motivated the young voters to participate actively in the election process.
District Nodal Officer SVEEP Principal Dr. Savinder Singh Rekhi while addressing all the students said that youth are the future of the country and youth have an important role in increasing voter registration. He gave detailed information to the students about the website of the Election Commission of India ECI Net and Voter Helpline No. 1950 and various mobile apps and digital services provided by the Election Commission. Through this, detailed information was provided regarding new vote registration, correction of old vote. All the students participated in this camp with great enthusiasm. B.Ed and M. Ed students Harman, Husandeep and Harsimran Kaur presented their views on “Role of Youth in Strengthening Democracy”. The stage was moderated by Assistant Prof. Dr. Kuljit Kaur. Prof. Jagdev Singh thanked the guests. All the staff and students of the college were present during this program.
