If Bikram Majithia Has Evidence, He Should Put It Before Punjab Instead Of Making Baseless Allegations: Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal

Hitting back at Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia over his allegations, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Chief Spokesperson Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said Bikram Singh Majithia should stop indulging in political mudslinging and first answer the serious questions surrounding his own record and alleged links to the drug controversy.

In a statement, AAP Punjab Chief Spokesperson Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said the person against whom Bikram Singh Majithia was levelling allegations had himself categorically stated in a video that there had been no financial transaction, nor had he given money to anyone nor received money from anyone. If you have evidence, put it before the people of Punjab instead of merely making allegations,” he said.

The AAP Punjab Chief Spokesperson asked Bikram Singh Majithia to answer questions concerning the alleged use of government vehicles during his tenure as a minister. “When you were a minister, were there alleged drug transactions taking place through your official vehicles? Give the people of Punjab a clear answer on this,” he added.

He also questioned Bikram Singh Majithia over his alleged associations with persons whose names had surfaced in investigations related to drug trafficking. “The names of people involved in the drug trade have surfaced in investigations. Were such alleged drug traffickers not associated with you or staying at your residence? If you are demanding answers from others, you must answer these questions yourself,” he added.

Referring to convicted drug trafficker Jagdish Bhola, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said, “Jagdish Bhola, who was jailed in a drug trafficking case, publicly took your name and levelled serious allegations against you. Did he or did he not name you? What was your response to those allegations, and what is your clear answer today?”

Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said, “The drug menace has devastated Punjab’s youth. Those who contributed to destroying the future of Punjab’s young generation cannot escape accountability simply by pointing fingers at others. Every person facing serious allegations related to drugs must answer, irrespective of their party or position.”

He further questioned Bikram Singh Majithia over his financial trajectory and Punjab’s growing debt, asking him to provide a transparent account of his personal wealth and liabilities since entering public life. “When you entered power, what was your personal debt and wealth? Where do they stand today? And during the same period, how much did Punjab’s debt increase? These are legitimate questions, and the people of Punjab have a right to know the facts,” he added.

Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said, “Punjab does not want political allegations without evidence. Punjab wants facts, documents and an account. If Bikram Singh Majithia wants answers from others, he should first be prepared to answer the questions being raised about his own record.”
