Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the arrest of former Delhi Minister and AAP Punjab Sah-Prabhari Satyendar Jain, after a court granted him bail. Arvind Kejriwal asked what the Prime Minister gained by sending Satyendar Jain to jail, pointing out that he was not even taken into police custody. He said the case was so weak that Satyendar Jain secured bail within just ten days, and asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not even know how to run the country.
AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal took to ‘X’ and said, “Satyendar Jain got bail on Thursday. Why was he arrested? No one understands. In any case, a person is sent to custody to be interrogated. Police custody is sought for this. After the police custody is over, the person goes to judicial custody.”
He said that Satyendar Jain was not sent to police custody in this case. “No interrogation was conducted with him. He was sent straight to judicial custody. The case against him was so weak that he got bail in just ten days.”
The AAP Chief asked PM Modi, “What did you achieve from this? Twenty-four hours a day, you just keep thinking about sending people to jail. You have no interest in running the country. Nor do you know how to run it. How on earth did you become the Prime Minister of the country? You should have been the Station House Officer (SHO) of some village. Your antics are just like that.”
On the other hand, Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Satyamev Jayate. The granting of bail to senior AAP leader Satyendar Jain is a major victory for truth and justice. No matter how hard authoritarian forces may try, truth can never be suppressed or defeated. False cases and conspiracies always end with the triumph of truth. We have unwavering faith in the honourable judiciary. Inquilab Zindabad.”
Meanwhile, AAP Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia stated, “Satyamev Jayate. Perhaps never in the history of the world has so much falsehood been spoken as the lies BJP has made agencies like the ACB and CBI tell in order to sustain its petty politics. But truth alone triumphs. Long live Satyendar Jain.”
