Patiala News:Players participated in various sports competitions on the third day of Sports Homeland Punjab-2026

The Sports Department, Patiala, organized the third day of block level games under the Sports Homeland Punjab 2026 on 9-9-26.

On the third day, block level games are being organized in four blocks of Patiala – Patiala Urban, Patiala Rural, Rajpura and Nabha. In which athletics, football, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi National Style, Kabaddi Circle Style, Volleyball Shooting and Volleyball Smashing games are being organized in different age groups.

Giving information about these games, District Sports Officer, Navjot Singh Dhaliwal said that on the third day of the block level games in Patiala Urban Block, in the game athletics 400 meters age category 51-60 women, Archana Panjratan got the first place and in the men, Gursahib Singh got the first place. In the age category 60-40 men event 400 meters, Balram Dhiman got the first, Harvinder Singh got the second and Sukhwant Singh got the third place. Similarly, in women, Surendra Ahluwalia got the first place and Kirna Devi Singla got the second place. In long jump 51-60 men, Bikramjit Singh got the first place. In women, Sunil Kumari Sharma got the first and Mamta Rani got the second place. In the age group 61-70 men, Jaswant Singh secured first place and in the women, Kirna Devi Singla secured second place. Similarly, in the 70+ men, Harjit Singh secured first place.

At Block Nabha, Teja Singh secured first place in the athletics game age group 60-70 event 400 meters men. Davinder Singh International player secured first place in the age group 31-40 event shot put. Shaminder Singh secured first place in the age group 31-40 event 100 meters men. Similarly, in the age group 60-70 shot put, Satwant Singh secured first place and Gurdeep Singh secured second place. Krishan Singh secured first place in the age group 41-50. Sandeep Singh secured first place in the age group 31-40 event 400 meters. Harbhajan Singh secured first place and Sunil Kumar secured second place in the age group 50-60 event 800 meters. Amandeep Kaur secured first place in the age group 41-50 event 800 and 400 meters women.

In the game Kho-Kho Under-14 boys’ tournament at Block Rajpura, Pepsu Stadium Rajpura won first place, Heritage Public School won second place, S.M. School Khanpur Warring won third place and Pepsu Stadium Rajpura Team B won third place. Similarly, in the girls’ tournament, Pepsu Stadium Rajpura won first place, Government Elementary School NTC won second place, S.Middle School Khanpur Warring won third place and Government High School Ghaggar won third place.
