Patiala News:6th day of block level games organized under Sports Watan Punjab-2026
On the 6th day of Sports Watan Punjab – 2026, block level games are being organized in three blocks of Patiala – Ghanaur, Sanur and Shambhu Kalan. In which athletics, football, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi National Style, Kabaddi Circle Style, Volleyball Shooting and Volleyball Smashing games are being organized in different age groups. Along with this, block level tournaments of tennis ball cricket were organized at Mr. Rajinder Singh Chahal Physical College Kalyan, Sports Stadium Village Jassowal, Government Pepsu Stadium Rajpura, Chief Minister Sports Stadium Village Dedhana and Multipurpose School. Free food is provided by the department to the players participating in these games.
Giving information about these games, District Sports Officer, Navjot Singh Dhaliwal said that during the block level games, the under-17 girls, under-17 boys and under-14 boys of Holy Angel School won a grand victory by securing the first place in the football game at Block Shambhu Kalan. Similarly, in the athletics game age group under-14 boys, Armaan Singh secured the first place, Armaan secured the second place and Prince Singh secured the third place in the event 60 meters race. In the under-14 girls 60 meters race, Sonam secured the first place, Yashika secured the second place and Priya secured the third place. In the shot put under-17 girls, Simranpreet Kaur secured the first place and Khushpreet Kaur secured the second place. Similarly, in the under-21 event 400 meters boys, Jagmeet Singh secured the first place and Ravneet Singh secured the second place.
In the volleyball game at Block Sanour, the Dhakala team won first place and the Deep English Model School team won second place among the under-17 girls.
In Tennis Ball Cricket at Government Pepsu Stadium Rajpura, Bhogla team won by 10 wickets. NTC Rajpura team won by 51 runs. Similarly, Ward No. 11 team won by 77 runs.
Career Academy, Lott and Sidhuwal played a great game in tennis ball cricket at Career Academy School, Patiala. At Kalyan, Dadhera team won by 66 runs and Kheri Gaurians won by 9 wickets.
