Political ‘Nautanki’ Cannot Fool People Of Punjab, BJP Must Answer Three Questions: AAP

As the BJP’s ‘Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra’ reached Punjab, AAP karyakartas confronted the BJP with three questions that they said the BJP cannot escape: why drugs are being smuggled into Punjab from Gujarat, why Punjab’s water is being given to Haryana and Rajasthan, and why it is seeking an alliance with the SAD (Badal) to bring back “black laws”.

Putting up posters with the three questions, AAP karyakartas said political ‘nautanki’ cannot fool the people of Punjab, while people of Punjab showed black flags to the BJP yatra.

The AAP karyakartas further questioned the BJP’s stand on Punjab’s waters being given to Haryana and Rajasthan. They also raised questions over the BJP’s proposed political understanding with the SAD (Badal), asking whether such an arrangement would bring back what they described as “black laws”.

AAP karyakartas said the same questions would continue to follow the BJP’s yatra wherever it travels across Punjab. “The people of Punjab are politically aware and will not be distracted by political theatrics. Wherever the BJP’s yatra goes, people will continue asking these three questions and seek clear answers from the party,” AAP karyakartas said.

AAP karyakartas said the black flags shown by people of Punjab are a political expression of the questions being raised by people and their opposition to the BJP’s politics in Punjab. They reiterated that the people of Punjab deserve accountability and clarity from the BJP on drugs, Punjab’s waters and its political understanding with the Akali Dal (Badal).
