Patiala News:Deputy Commissioner dispatched 3 awareness vans to create awareness about the harm of paddy stubble burning

-For the next 40 days, vans will make people aware of not burning paddy straw in 934 villages.

Deputy Commissioner of Patiala Dr. Himanshu Agarwal flagged off 3 awareness vans for awareness against burning paddy stubble and other crop residues. He said that these vans of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare will sensitize people in 934 villages of 6 blocks for the next 40 days about not burning paddy crop residue and stubble. During this time awareness materials will also be distributed to give more information to the farmers in this regard.

Appealing to the farmers of the district to completely refrain from burning crop residues. Himanshu Aggarwal said that the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is providing all possible assistance to the farmers so that they are aware of environmental protection. He called upon the farmers to take a pledge never to set fire to their fields for the sake of the environment and the safety of their land.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the Punjab government is making every possible effort to help the farmers to mix the crop residue in the fields, so that the environment is not polluted along with increasing the fertility of the land. He said that necessary machinery is available for the farmers from the Department of Agriculture and Kisan Welfare and the farmers should take advantage of it.

On this occasion, Chief Agricultural Officer Dr. Dara Singh, A.D.O. Ravinder Pal Singh Chatta, A.A.E. Prabhdeep Singh and Amanpreet Singh Sandhu were also present.
