Patiala News:At 5 am, the Food Safety Team took 3 samples of milk products at Naka.

The verification team of Food Safety Department, Patiala conducted a check at Nabha at around 5:00 am today. During this, 3 samples of milk products were taken, which have been sent to the laboratory for analysis. After receiving the report of the samples, further action will be taken as per the rules.
In addition, a sample of cheese taken by the Food Safety Department on September 23 was found to be non-conforming during testing.
This unsafe cheese was destroyed as per the rules today in the presence of ASI Balwinder Singh.
The Food Safety Department appeals to all shopkeepers and the general public of Patiala district not to purchase cheese and other milk products from vendors or suppliers who do not provide bills/receipts.
Consumers and shopkeepers should also ensure that they have the information about the source, supplier and vendor of the milk products they are purchasing. The bill/receipt must be taken at the time of purchase and its record should be maintained, so that the traceability of the milk products can be ensured.
The department will continue to conduct continuous checking and sampling to ensure the quality and safety of milk and milk products. The general public is requested to refrain from purchasing food items without bills or from suspicious sources and to inform the Food Safety Department about any suspicious activity.
