Patiala News:Solidarity programs against drugs in villages and wards will continue continuously as part of the war against drugs campaign: Yadvinder Singh Goldy

* Awareness meetings against drugs were held in villages Chapar and Lot.
* Bhagwant Mann government is providing free treatment to those who want to quit drugs.
Under the ‘War on Drugs’ campaign being run under the guidelines of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, solidarity programs are being continuously organized in villages and wards across Punjab to mobilize people against drugs. Under this series, awareness meetings were held under the leadership of District President S. Yadwinder Singh Goldy at village Chapar in Ghanaur constituency of Patiala district and village Lot in Patiala Rural constituency.
On this occasion, Yadwinder Singh Goldy said that the Bhagwant Mann government is providing free treatment to those who want to quit drugs. He said that through these programs, people are being made aware about the ill effects of drugs and are also being motivated to unite against drug trafficking. He said that people can also share information about drug traffickers through toll free number 97791-00200 and Nasha Mukti App (NNM).
He said that during these solidarity programs, the villagers are being informed about the actions being taken by the government to prevent drugs. Along with this, people are also being explained about the use of the app to provide information regarding drug trafficking. Doctors of the health department and representatives of the police administration also participated in these meetings.
He said that these programs in villages Chapar and Lot have received a huge response from the villagers. The villagers appreciated the government’s efforts, assuring them of their contribution in the campaign for creating a drug-free society.
On this occasion, Jaswinder Singh Akari, Halka Coordinator Ghanaur, Rajesh Kumar Rajpura, Bhupinder Singh, Halka Nabha, Pritpal Singh, Halka Patiala Rural, Gary Gautam, Prince Tyagi, Baljinder Sarao, Ranjit Virk, Pawan Kumar and other volunteers were also present.
