He said that Akali leaders, struggling to save their lost political existence, were now resorting to blatant lies and laughable claims. The AAP Punjab Media In-charge asserted that such hollow statements by leaders of a party that had been completely rejected by the people of Punjab and pushed to the margins clearly reflected their desperation and frustration. Balwinder Bhundar, your own people are no longer in touch with you. If they were, 3 new Akali Dal(s) would not have been formed. Akali Dal (Badal) has become a thing of the past. Neither will the dinosaurs return, nor will Akali Dal.’” He emphasised, “The Badal family had caused immense damage to Punjab’s resources, its youth and communal harmony for its personal interests and to remain in power. Due to their wrong decisions and turning away from Panthic values, even their own long-standing, traditional and senior associates had rebelled against them and distanced themselves from the Akali Dal.” “Today, the Akali Dal had completely fallen apart, plagued by internal rebellion and factionalism, leaving its leaders with no option but to resort to such false statements to divert public attention,” he said. Baltej Pannu made it clear that the people of Punjab were now very aware and would not be misled by the Akali Dal’s false claims again. The AAP government, under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Singh Mann, is working day and night with dedication towards Punjab’s progress, prosperity and public welfare, while the opposition parties had no substantive issues left to raise. Instead of claiming that people from other parties were in touch with them, Akali leaders should worry about holding together their own crumbling party.
