World University Organises a Two Day Event Dedicated to International Women’s Day

Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib organized a Two Day event dedicated to International Women’s Day. Various activities were organized by the Department of Physiotherapy and the Department of Sociology. Dr. Prit Pal Singh, Vice Chancellor of the University congratulated the department for the success of the event. Seminars were organized on the first and second day of the event, in which Dr. Namrata Vadera, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, Punjabi University, Patiala and Dr. Harprit Kaur, Professor, Department of Psychology, Punjabi University, Patiala were the guest speaker. Dr. S.S. Billig, Dean Academic Affairs, Dr. R.K. Sharma, Dean Research, Dr. Tejbir Singh, Dean Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Gurjinder Singh, Dean Students’ Welfare, Dr. Ankdeep Kaur Attwal, Public Relations Officer joined the event. During the two day celebrations poster making competition was also organised. The topic of the competition was– gender equity, women health, women empowerment, the contribution of great women in history and in society. Dr. Supreet Bindra, Assistant Professor, Department of Physiotherapy and Dr. Navshagan Deep Kaur, In-charge, Department of Sociology thanked all the guests, the students, the faculty members and the staff members for their participation in the event.
