Canada:Federal minimum wage to rise to $15 per hour

Good news for workers in the federally-regulated private sector: In less than two weeks, on December 29th, the federal minimum wage is going up to $15 an hour. If you work in a province or territory where the minimum wage is higher than that, the higher wage will apply.

This is a promise we made in Budget 2021, and it’s a promise we’ve kept. We’ll continue to do everything we can to make sure you that have the support you need, and to support our country’s economic recovery.
