Punjab Delegation headed by Minister Arora participate in World Food India-2025 event at Bharat Mandapam

Chandigarh, 27 September 2025:
Punjab Cabinet Minister Sh. Sanjeev Arora participated in World Food India 2025 event held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi wherein Punjab State Knowledge Session happened on the theme “Flavouring the future from Farm Gate to Global plate-Unlocking opportunities in Agro–Food Business”. This event was organised by Food Processing Industries, Government of India.
Addressing the World Food India 2025 event, Cabinet Minister Sh. Sanjeev Arora said that Punjab has vast strength in the agricultural sector and several opportunities are available in the food processing industry of Punjab. Our government is making investor friendly policies and he urged the investors to come forward to invest in Punjab. He said investors will get all clearance pertaining to setting up their industry in Punjab within 45 days. He also apprised about independent committee formed on food processing for coming up new industrial policy.
Moreover, he added that entrepreneurs who are interested in investing in Punjab will be given full cooperation . Punjab has potential to become the next global hub for agro-food business, driving growth from our farms to international markets.
Delegations from Lulu Group of UAE, Ziak Group of Russia, NCML, Jafza, Allonsons, Bitzer, Haldiram, Bikaner amongst others met Minister. All of them showed interest for investing in Punjab.
Food Processing Cabinet Minister Chirag Paswan in Govt of India also visited Punjab Pavillion and praised the showcase of Punjab products. He also promised to visit Punjab in the near future.
This event was also attended by Rakhi Gupta Bhandari I.A.S, Kamal Kishor Yadav I.A.S, Administrative Secretary Industries and Commerce, Amit Dhaka I.A.S CEO Invest Punjab, Seema Bansal Vice-Chairperson Punjab Development Council along with KPMG team.
