Continuing global outreach to promote investment and deepen international partnerships, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann undertook a series of engagements to further strengthen economic cooperation and fostering people-to-people connect.
During strategic interaction with the Netherlands India Chamber of Commerce & Trade, led by its Chairperson Ms. Edith Nordmann, the Chief Minister batted for enhancing bilateral business linkages and promoting investment flows between Punjab and the Netherlands. He also highlighted Punjab’s strategic focus on value addition, export-led growth, and integration with global supply chains, particularly in sectors such as food processing and manufacturing. Bhagwant Singh Mann invited NICCT to play a proactive role in connecting Punjab with Dutch enterprises and facilitating sector-specific engagements and business delegations.
Meanwhile, during investment Road show in The Hague, the Chief Minister further showcased the state’s industrial strengths and emerging opportunities in the event, which witnessed participation from industry leaders, business representatives and stakeholders from across the Netherlands. Bhagwant Singh Mann highlighted Punjab’s transition towards value-added manufacturing, industrial growth, and export-led development. He also showcased the state’s strong fundamentals, including its robust manufacturing ecosystem, skilled workforce, progressive policies, and investor-friendly governance framework.
The Chief Minister also underlined the strong historical and cultural ties between Punjab and the Netherlands, reflecting shared values of resilience, openness and innovation. He also underscored the state Government’s proactive and reform-oriented approach towards investment promotion and ease of doing business adding that the Industrial & Business Development Policy 2026 is one of the most competitive in the country. Bhagwant Singh Mann also apprised them about the effectiveness of the Fast Track Punjab Portal in ensuring single-window clearances and time-bound approvals.
The Chief Minister invited global investors to “come, invest and grow in Punjab,” while appreciating the shared cultural values and entrepreneurial spirit between Punjab and the Netherlands. He also highlighted Punjab’s strategic advantages and reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to facilitating seamless investments adding he emphasized Punjab’s distinct advantages such as quality infrastructure, progressive farmers, and skilled manpower aligned with global standards. Bhagwant Singh Mann also called on the Dutch companies to explore Punjab as a promising destination for new and expansion investments.
The Chief Minister also interacted with members of the Punjabi diaspora during a community engagement program, which provided an opportunity to strengthen cultural ties and deepen people-to-people connections. He acknowledged the contributions of the Indian and Punjabi community in the Netherlands towards strengthening bilateral relations through cultural and economic linkages. During interaction, Bhagwant Singh Mann also sought their suggestions, reaffirming the Government’s commitment to engaging with the diaspora as key partners in Punjab’s growth journey.
On the occasion, Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora, Chief Secretary KAP Sinha, Indian Ambassador to Netherlands Kumar Tuhin and others were also present.
