Patiala News:Sports Watan Punjab Diyan-2026: Second day of block level games in four blocks of Patiala concludes with enthusiasm
The second day of block level games was organized under the Homeland Punjab Games 2026, organized by the Punjab government.
On the second day, block level games are being organized in four blocks of Patiala – Patiala Urban, Patiala Rural, Rajpura and Nabha. In which athletics, football, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi National Style, Kabaddi Circle Style, Volleyball Shooting and Volleyball Smashing games are being organized in different age groups.
Giving information about these games, District Sports Officer, Navjot Singh Dhaliwal said that on the second day of the block level games, Mr. Harpal Juneja, Chairman PRTC, participated in the games being held in Patiala Urban Block at Polo Ground Patiala. Similarly, Jassi Sohian, Chairman Nabha Improvement Trust, reached the block level games and gave his blessings to the players.
In the Block Patiala Rural age category Under-17 boys, the Azad Football Club team won a resounding victory by defeating the Akal Academy School team by 6/0. In the Volleyball Under-14 boys, the team of Nandpur Sekhon won the first place and the team of Government Senior Secondary School Kalyan won the second place. Similarly, in the Under-17 boys, Nandpur Sekhon won the first place, the team of Multipurpose School won the second place, the team of Government Senior Secondary School won the third place and the team of Rorgarh won the third place. In the age category 21-30 boys, Elite Kallah won the first place and Physical College won the second place.
In the Block Patiala Urban Volleyball Smashing Under-14 Girls, the first place was won by Coaching Center A Polo Ground, the second place was won by Civil Lines School Patiala, the third place was won by the team from Old Police Lines Patiala and the fourth place was won by the team from Coaching Center B Polo Ground Patiala.
In Block Nabha, Navneet Public School Narmana secured the first position in the game Kho-Kho age category Under-21 girls. Similarly, the team of Sadhoheri secured the first position in the boys. In the Athletics Men Under-21, event 1500 meters, Akashdeep Singh secured the first position and Simranjit Singh secured the second position. And in the Under-21 girls, Gaganpreet Kaur secured the first position and Simran Kaur secured the second position. In the Long Jump Under-21 boys, Anjam Ali secured the first position, Yuvraj Singh secured the second position and Arshdeep Singh secured the third position. Similarly, in the 5000 meters boys age category Under-21, Davinder Singh secured the first position, Gursewak Singh secured the second position and Daljit Das secured the third position. In the 400 meters Under-21 girls, Jashandeep Kaur secured the first position and Lovedeep Kaur secured the second position.
Block Rajpura Athletics Age Category Under-21, 100 meters boys Gurjot Singh got first place, Rameez Raja got second place, Naman Ahuja got third place and Taniksh got fourth place respectively. In age category Under-17, 800 meters boys Parminder Singh got first place, Davinder Singh got second place and Manav Kasuria got third place. Similarly in girls age category Under-20 Mehak Devi got first place, Jaspreet Kaur got second place and Sandeep Kaur got third place.
