As part of the series of special events being organized across the state by the Punjab government dedicated to the 650th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji, a grand show of 500 drones was organized at the Grain Market, Patran. Hundreds of drones flying together in the night sky presented breathtaking scenes depicting the life, Bani, ideology and great philosophy of Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji, which mesmerized the audience present.
On this occasion, MLA of Halka Shutrana Kulwant Singh Bazigar said that the words and teachings of Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji show the path of equality, brotherhood, hard work, true conduct and solidarity for the entire humanity. Guru Ji raised his voice against caste, class and social discrimination and gave the message that the greatness of a person is not in his birth or lineage, but in his good deeds, high conduct and dedication towards humanity.
MLA Bajigar said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann has earmarked a budget of more than Rs 100 crore for the year-long celebrations dedicated to the 650th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji. The main objective of these events is to convey the great ideas of Guru Sahib and the message given for the welfare of humanity to the new generation in a modern and effective manner.
Former MLA Vaninder Kaur Loomba, who was present on the occasion, said that in paying homage and respect to the eternal teachings and divine message of Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji, the Punjab government is establishing ‘Sri Guru Ravidass Ji Bani Aadhyayan Kendra’ at Dera Sachkhand Ballan, Jalandhar. She said that this center will be built on an area of ​​10.4 acres and its total cost will be Rs 37 crore. Out of this, Rs 11 crore has been spent for land and Rs 60 lakh for necessary approvals, while the remaining expenses required for the construction of the center will also be borne by the Punjab government.
On this occasion, SDM Kala Ram Kansal said that the Punjab government is organizing 92 special drone shows across the state. An effort has been made to vividly present the life, hymns and teachings of Guru Ji in the night sky through modern digital technology to connect the young generation with the great ideology of Guru Sahib.
On the occasion, the Jatha of Dhadi Tarsem Singh Khetla delighted the congregation with history and Dhadi songs.
On this occasion, SC Wing Halka President Labh Singh, Kuldeep Singh Thind, Youth President Manveer Singh Sandhu, Market Committee Chairman Mehnag Singh Brar, Truck Union President Ranjit Singh, Advocate Simarjit Singh, KP Sharma, Jagwant Sandhu, Karnail Singh, Municipality Ghagga President Mithu Singh, Shakti Goyal, Buta Singh, Tejinder Singh Teji, Pishaura Singh, Kamalpreet Singh Wadhwa along with Councilors and Panch Sarpanch, representatives of Sri Guru Ravidas Sabha, societies and clubs, besides a large number of local residents were present.
