Patiala News:Free anti-rabies vaccination camp organized by Animal Husbandry Department at Civil Veterinary Hospital, Sanaur

In a significant initiative dedicated to animal health and public safety, the Animal Husbandry Department, District Patiala organized a free anti-rabies vaccination camp at Civil Veterinary Hospital (CVH), Sanaur.

The main objective of this camp, organized under the orders of Punjab Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudiyan, under the guidelines of Principal Secretary (Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries) Rahul Bhandari and under the guidance of Director Animal Husbandry Department Dr. Paramdeep Singh Walia, was to spread awareness about the prevention of the deadly disease rabies and the importance of vaccination in the villages and urban areas of the area and to spread awareness about the care of domestic animals.
Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry Patiala Dr. Soninder Kaur and Senior Veterinary Officer Dr. Vijay Kumar said that during the camp, a large number of dogs and cats brought from Sanaur and nearby villages were given free anti-rabies vaccinations.

Dr. Soninder Kaur said that it is very important to vaccinate animals every year to protect them from deadly diseases like rabies. Protecting pets also ensures the safety of human lives.

The main management of this camp was done by Station Incharge Dr. Mohit Singh (Veterinary Officer, CVH Sanaur) with the support of all Veterinary Inspectors of Sanaur Cluster Sarabjit Singh (CVH Sanaur), Kashish Grover (CVD Batta), Rahul (CVD Udaipur) and Gagandeep (CVD Nurkhedian) along with Grade IV Sanjeev Kumar, AI Worker Ranjit (Fateh Medical Hall, Sanaur).
On this occasion, farmers, animal husbandry and pet owners of the area showed great enthusiasm towards this initiative and thanked the Animal Husbandry Department. People said that such camps make animal health care in rural areas easier. The department reiterated its commitment to continue such awareness and vaccination camps in the future as well.
