Patiala News:Agriculture Department takes action against New Goyal pesticide dealers under Insecticide Act: Chief Agriculture Officer, Patiala

On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Patiala Dr. Himanshu Agarwal and Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Patiala Anuprita Johal, the Agriculture Department team formed by the shop sealed the shop based on the FIR registered in Haryana against New Goyal Insecticide Collars. Taking action as per the Insecticide Act-1968 and Insecticide Rules 1971.

Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. Dara Singh said that an FIR was registered in Haryana against Ajay Kumar for selling fake medicines, under which on September 29, 2026, a team of the Agriculture Department, including Block Agriculture Officer Dr. Satish Kumar, Agriculture Development Officer Dr. Vijay Kumar, Dr. Amanpreet Singh Sandhu and Dr. Raspinder Singh, jointly raided the shop and said that since the shopkeeper was not present on the spot, his shop was sealed by Insecticide Inspector Dr. Vijay Kumar. During this raid, Prem Sharma, a representative of Sanjeta Company, was also present on the spot. According to Dr. Dara Singh, samples of the medicines available will be taken after the shopkeeper opens the shop and further action will be taken as per the Insecticide Act 1968.
