BJP Is Inducting Leaders Facing Serious Charges, Including Those Involved in Cases of Firing at Punjab Police & Rape Allegations: Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has hit out at the BJP over its attempts to induct leaders who have left or been expelled by other parties, with AAP Punjab Chief Spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal calling out that the BJP has become a ‘kabaad di dukaan’ (scrap shop) collecting rejected political faces. He asserted that while AAP had consistently put Punjab’s interests first and taken action against its own ministers and MLAs over corruption, the BJP was now bringing in leaders facing serious allegations, including cases involving firing at Punjab Police and rape.

The AAP Punjab Chief Spokesperson pointed out the BJP’s recruitment of such leaders in parallel to the failure of its anti-drug campaign and Amit Shah’s Jalandhar rally, which he emphasised was a “super flop”. He asserted that people were backing the work of the Bhagwant Mann government and that AAP would return to power in Punjab in 2027 with a massive majority.

Addressing a press conference, AAP Punjab Chief Spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal stated: “The Aam Aadmi Party was formed under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal with the mission of cleaning the filth of corruption from the politics of the country and Punjab. From the very first day of the Bhagwant Singh Mann government, we made it clear that there is no place in AAP for people hungry for positions or power.”

He asserted, “We have always kept Punjab’s interests above everything else. If any of our leaders has ever indulged in corruption or tried to act against Punjab’s interests, we have taken action without hesitation and shown them the door. AAP is the first government in Punjab’s history to take strict action against its own ministers and MLAs and send them to jail when corruption allegations were levelled against them.”

Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal stated, “Those MLAs against whom serious allegations had surfaced, who were facing cases such as firing at the police, or who had violated party discipline, had already been suspended by the party and shown the door. The person who fired at Punjab Police and fled, and the person whom CM Bhagwant Singh Mann’s government sent to jail in a rape case, cannot work for the welfare of Punjab. Yet, the BJP is bringing in precisely such people. Those who are hungry for power were never leaders with any vision. They are running away instead of standing up and fighting for Punjab’s interests.”

The AAP Punjab Chief Spokesperson added, “The panic among opposition parties is clearly visible following the recently released list of 40 candidates. Today, the BJP in Punjab is no longer a political party but has become a ‘kabad di dukan’ (scrap shop). The BJP has no support base in Punjab and is collecting rejected leaders and discarded material from other parties because it has nothing of its own. Whether they are Congress leaders, those surviving on the mercy of the Shiromani Akali Dal, or tainted faces expelled from AAP, the BJP is gathering them in a futile attempt to save its existence. This also shows that the BJP has no concern for Punjab’s interests.”

Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal further asserted, “The situation has reached the point where the BJP does not even have its own leaders to appoint as its state president or office-bearers in Punjab. All of them have been brought in from outside. This shows how empty the BJP is in Punjab. It has nothing of its own. Political battles can never be won with borrowed people.”

Targeting the BJP’s political campaigns in Punjab, he added, “It is because of this policy of collecting rejected leaders that the BJP’s anti-drug campaign has failed and Amit Shah’s Jalandhar rally proved to be a super flop. The people of Punjab have understood the BJP’s true reality. The party is trying to build itself by collecting leaders rejected by other political parties, but this will not help it win the confidence of Punjab’s people.”

The AAP MLA concluded by stating, “The AAP has always put Punjab first and will continue to do so. People of Punjab are vouching for Bhagwant Mann Government’s work. Under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Singh Mann, AAP will once again form the government in Punjab in 2027 with a massive majority.”
