CHANDIGARH; 29th April 2026:
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Wednesday said that 15 Indians being deported from Australia will arrive in Delhi, including 11 from Punjab among whom is one woman, and asserted that the Punjab Government will receive them at IGI Airport in New Delhi while ensuring support for their rehabilitation and future livelihood.
CM Bhagwant Singh Mann stated, “15 Indians being deported will arrive in Delhi on Wednesday, including 11 from Punjab, among them one woman. 11 people from Punjab being deported from Australia will be received at Delhi Airport by the state government.” Emphasising the need for compassion and accountability, he added, “These are all our own people who were misled by fraudulent agents and went abroad.”
Highlighting the issue of fraudulent travel agents, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Many innocent people fall into the trap of dubious travel agents who promise them the moon and send them abroad.
