*From Access to Dignity, Bhagwant Mann Govt’s AACs Set New Benchmark in Public Healthcare*
CHANDIGARH, February 8:
The Bhagwant Mann Government has delivered a decisive and people-centric transformation of Punjab’s public healthcare system, with Aam Aadmi Clinics (AACs) emerging as the backbone of accessible, dignified, and free primary healthcare across the state. The latest State Report Card prepared by the Punjab Development Commission (PDC) data offers clear, evidence-based validation of the healthcare revolution underway in Punjab under the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government.
According to the Patient Feedback State Report Card, based on interviews with 18,256 patients across the state, an overwhelming 96 percent of patients expressed satisfaction with the treatment provided at Aam Aadmi Clinics. The report establishes that primary healthcare in Punjab has shifted decisively from scarcity and neglect to reliability, quality, and trust, with citizens receiving timely medical attention without any financial burden.
The findings show that all patients received medicines completely free of cost at Aam Aadmi Clinics, with 92 percent reporting that they received all prescribed drugs. In diagnostics as well, 94 percent of patients reported that their prescribed investigation tests were conducted at the clinics themselves, again entirely free of cost. This reflects a fundamental policy shift under the Bhagwant Mann Government, where healthcare is treated as a right and not a privilege reserved for those who can afford private hospitals.
The report also highlights the emphasis placed by the Bhagwant Mann Government on dignity and patient experience. As many as 99 percent of patients reported that Aam Aadmi Clinic premises were clean, 99 percent confirmed the availability of adequate seating, 97 percent reported access to drinking water, and 95 percent stated that toilets were clean. These indicators demonstrate that healthcare delivery under the current government goes beyond treatment alone and focuses on creating humane, respectful public institutions.
District-wise data further underscores the uniformity and scale of this transformation, with high satisfaction levels reported consistently across districts including Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Patiala, Bathinda, Hoshiarpur, and Tarn Taran. The party said this consistency reflects strong governance, regular monitoring, and a clear political commitment to strengthening public health infrastructure in every part of Punjab.
The success of Aam Aadmi Clinics in Punjab under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann stands as a model for the rest of the country. At a time when rising medical costs are pushing families into debt, Punjab has demonstrated that high-quality, free primary healthcare can be delivered at scale through political will, transparent governance, and patient-first planning.
The AACs initiative has not only reduced the financial burden on ordinary families but has also decongested secondary and tertiary hospitals by addressing healthcare needs at the neighbourhood level. This is the essence of the healthcare revolution promised by the AAP and delivered by the Bhagwant Mann Government in Punjab.
Reaffirming its commitment, the Bhagwant Mann Government said it will continue to expand and strengthen AACs across Punjab, ensuring that every citizen has access to timely, free, and quality healthcare close to home, and that public healthcare institutions remain a source of trust and dignity for the people.
