ADMINSTRATION AND ETT UNION REACH ON CONSENSUS TO END THE HUNGER STRIKE OF AGITATED ETT UNION MEMBER
DECISION TAKEN IN A *MEETING* HELD LATE IN THE EVENING
PATIALA, JUNE 30:
In continuation of its efforts to placate the agitated ETT Union Member Surinder Pal, to climb down from the BSNL tower, the district administration today succeeded to get the consent of ETT Union leaders to end the hunger strike of the Surinder Pal.
In a meeting held late in the evening at the District Administrative Complex, it was decided to persuade the agitated teacher to end his hunger strike by offering him liquid and food items.
The liquid and food items would be delivered to him by the ETT Union so that his continuous deteriorating health to be stopped from further damage.
The meeting was attended by the DC Kumar Amit, SSP Dr Sandeep Garg, SP (City) Varun Sharma, SDM Patiala Charanjit Singh and representatives of ETT Union, Deepak Kamboj and others.
Deputy Commissioner, Kumar Amit said that as the meeting of the ETT Union with the School Education Minister, Mr Vijay Inder Singla,held a week ago, was summed up in a very positive manner so he hoped the Union would convey the message to Surinder Pal and request him to climb down in the best interests of his health and family . He said that district administration assured the Union to provide all the rescue help, that they need to climb down Surinder Pal from the tower, safely, in wake of his weak physical condition.
The officers also interacted with Surinder Pal on the Video Call and briefed him of all the happenings taken place during the last days.

ਬੀ ਐਸ ਐਨ ਐਲ ਟਾਵਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਉਤਰਨ ਲਈ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਜ ਦੇਰ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਬੂਰ ਪਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ, ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਪਾਲ ਦੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਈ ਟੀ ਟੀ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਲੈਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
ਦੇਰ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਈ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਤੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਪਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਤਰਲ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਖਾਣ ਪੀਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਭੇਟ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਈ.ਟੀ.ਟੀ. ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਤਰਲ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਣ ਪੀਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਸਦੀ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਵਿਗੜ ਰਹੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪੁੱਜਣ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।
ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੀ ਸੀ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਅਮਿਤ, ਐਸ ਐਸ ਪੀ ਡਾ: ਸੰਦੀਪ ਗਰਗ, ਐਸ ਪੀ (ਸਿਟੀ) ਵਰੁਣ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਐਸ ਡੀ ਐਮ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਚਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਈ ਟੀ ਟੀ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਦੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦੇ ਦੀਪਕ ਕੰਬੋਜ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।
ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਅਮਿਤ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਕੂਲ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਵਿਜੇ ਇੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਗਲਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਹਫਤੇ ਹੋਈ ਈ.ਟੀ.ਟੀ. ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਦੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਬੜੇ ਹਾਂ ਪੱਖੀ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਚ ਹੋਈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਪਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਕਤ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਚ ਹੋਈ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਉਸਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਮਨਾ ਲਵੇਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੇ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਬਚਾਅ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਪਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ, ਸੁਰਖਿਅਤ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ, ਟਾਵਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਉਤਰਨ ਲਈ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਪਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਵੀਡਿਓ ਕਾਲ ਤੇ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਾਕਾਰਤਮਕ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਚ ਹੋਈ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ।
